vista partition preventing xp partition connecting onli

Hello, I am having proplems with my internet connection and I thought that this would probably be the best discussion group to put it in. I have partitioned my hard drive into two and have installed windows XP on one and windows Vista on the other. I have adelphia cable connection. My partition with XP used to connect to the internet before I installed Vista but I am now unable to connect online with XP. I would greatly appreciate suggestions and help. Thank you -Ony
